By the way, the examples you find do not all have to come from the same company.In your group blog, list all the examples you find, together with links to each example. Also provide a description of the effectiveness of each example.

    Blog is like a online diaries, user can share their expression, experience, photos, web-site or other media that post on their homepage. Furthermore, visitors can leave a message to blog owner.

    Facebook is free to register which allows user add friends and write a message, post photos/videos on user's homepage, when user update the personal information, it will automatically to notify friends about themselves. Moreover, user can choose to join one or more networks organized by region, group, school, etc., this will help user can communicate with other members of the same group/network.

    yahoo is typically search engine. Free of charge to search and locate the website for all kind of product.
    It's also a good platform for the online marketing. Most of the firm buy the key word search for their product or company name. The web traffic brough from search engine will help the company in brand building and product promotion.

    Following Ching's opinion, social networking is also a innovated promotion tool for online marketing.
    The Facebook's cutie gift is a virtual gift giving function. For example, user would send a virtual gift of Sony Cybershot digital camera to their friend in the birthday. Although it's not true, the user will be happy to receive the gift card. Sony have taken an adv. in brand building too.

  5. You've made a good start !

    For Facebook, could you provide a screen shot of the virtual gift of Sony Cybershot camera that was mentioned ?

    For Yahoo search engine, provide an example/description of a specific company that advertises on this search engine and the keyword that their advertisement is tied to.

    For blogger, you may find an example of a company that uses blogger to host their blog or has their own company blog on their web site.

    The Hong Kong Typhoon Alert Widget is a good example !

    The successful area of the Nippon Paint website; which able to provide professional advice from different areas of painting exquiries. Such as architectural, interior, furnitures etc. They have updated information pop up to alert your attention everytime you browse their website. In additional, I found it very interesting when you search under Inspiration> Color Creation. It provides an interactive color matching on different room inside the household by yourself.

  9. I've noted the additional graphics (e.g. Facebook example).

    For RSS feeds, I visited the Nippon Paint example where users can try out different colour palettes on different rooms of the house. I agree this is an innovative method to engage the customer's colour senses more deeply. This example doesn't use RSS though so I wonder if you may want to classify it under another method or put it under its own method (e.g. online customer experience) ?

    A good example of RSS can be found on newspaper web sites (e.g. mingpao).
